Chris Farrow has wanted to be a professional wrestler since he was in eighth grade. He decided to join Coastal Championship Wrestling and begin his training in the summer of 2019. He made his professional debut just nine months later and has been wrestling professionally ever since.

In just over two years, Farrow has already had great success in the squared circle, becoming the first-ever CCW Cruiserweight Champion, and has now held that belt on two separate occasions.

Below is a look at Farrow in his own words to give CCW fans a deeper look at who “Charismatic” Chris Farrow is:

CCW Spotlight: How did you get started in professional wrestling? Chris Farrow: “I’m in college at this point and I’m like ‘Bro, I gotta figure out what I want to do.’ I’ve always been athletic. I always wanted to be a professional athlete. I’m heavily into skateboarding and I was doing good at it, but I wasn’t getting where I wanted to be. But I always wanted to be a professional wrestler, so (I went to CCW) and just signed up.”

CCW Spotlight: Why did you choose the CCW Training Facility?

Chris Farrow: “Everything was cool (when I visited the training facility). I had a lot of fun, a lot of fun. I’ll tell you that much. I met a lot of cool people. I’m meeting a lot of cool people that I never thought I’d meet in person.”

CCW Spotlight: What’s been your favorite part of being part of CCW?

Chris Farrow: “Definitely performing, man. I mean, I’m a rock star out there. When I go out there, they sing my name. I like the love. I like the positivity and the atmosphere of the fans actually liking my work. Training as well. I had a lot of fun in training.”

CCW Spotlight: What wrestlers do you take inspiration from?

Chris Farrow: “Rey Mysterio Jr., Paul London and Brian Kendrick, because they were my favorite tag team. AJ Styles. I like a lot of wrestlers.”

CCW Spotlight: Who was the biggest influence in your training?

Chris Farrow: “Gangrel, for sure. Before Gangrel came to CCW, we had (instructors) coming in and out every month. When Gangrel came my footwork got different and got better. He even says that, too. This guy, I’m telling you, he knows his stuff. Because of him, I really like to chain wrestle, too. He’s from where I’m from (Pompano Beach, Fla.) too … I had no idea.”

CCW Spotlight: You wrestled for All Elite Wrestling recently, what can you tell us about that experience? Chris Farrow: “I worked on AEW: Dark in October. Man, that was fun. Listen, seeing all the wrestlers were cool and competing on there. My favorite part was the catering. I’m a huge food person. I know it doesn’t look like it, but man I can eat. But seriously, CCW helped me get to that platform. If it wasn’t for CCW, a lot of stuff wouldn’t happen. CCW really put eyes on my name and your name can make you money.”

CCW Spotlight: What can you tell the fans about your passion for skateboarding?

Chris Farrow: “I started skateboarding in 1999. I didn’t really take it seriously until 2009 when I started doing tricks and stuff. I did my first contest in 2010 and met many cool, famous skaters. I have a skateboarding tattoo. It’s just something I will never let go. It really is first love. I had a really good time with really cool people. It’s a culture and a hobby and it’s good exercise, that’s why I’m so fit now.”

CCW Spotlight: We know about your love for wrestling and skateboarding, what else interests you?

Chris Farrow: “I’m so into history. I think the people I look at or research online, those people inspire me. I’m a huge reader. I love to read, but I like to read about history. I love history. I’m very curious about how the world started and what those ancient people were like. I’m a huge history nut. I like the history of everything … video games, shoes, people … whatever, I’ll read it.”

Chris Farrow has one of the biggest opportunities and challenges of his relatively young career coming up, when he faces off with All Elite Wrestling star Matt Taven Friday, June 23 at St. Lucie Showdown in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Get tickets for that event by clicking HERE!
