We went for a bit of nostalgia and a throwback to 2005 featuring some legends and some current worldwide stars who all competed in Coastal Championship Wrestling. The event was Summer Heat 2005 and we feature two matches from that event on this week's show. Jerry Lynn faced off with Antonio Banks (now known as MVP), while the late, great Dusty Rhodes teamed with his son Dustin (with his son Cody in their corner) vs. Phi Delta Slam.

Antonio Banks (MVP) def. Jerry Lynn
A young Antonio Banks (now WWE Superstar MVP), with roughly three years of experience, faced off with veteran star Jerry Lynn.
Banks started quickly with a quick offensive flurry, but momentum switched into Lynn's favor when things spilled onto the floor. Lynn took advantage and drove Banks' back into the ring apron. Back inside the ring, both men had their moments.
Lynn looked to end things, going to the top rope for a flying crossbody block. While the move scored, Banks showed the presence of a veteran, rolling through the crossbody block and securing the pinfall over a stunned Lynn.
MVP and Coastal Championship Wrestling's long history and relationship continues to this day, as MVP still makes appearances at the CCW Training Facility when he's in South Florida and his schedule allows.
Dusty & Dustin Rhodes (w/ Cody Rhodes) def. Phi Delta Slam
Coastal Championship Wrestling fans were treated to one of the final matches of Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes' career in Ocoee, Fla. as the American Dream teamed with his son Dustin to face the massive, veteran tag team of Phi Delta Slam. A young Cody Rhodes came to the ring with his older brother and father, as well.
Dustin and Dusty dominated much of the match, especially in the early-going. Phi Delta Slam's biggest offensive push came when Bruno clocked Dustin with a clothesline from the apron, followed by a chop block to the knee after getting a tag from Tilly. Phi Delta Slam used a series of tag team offense and some kicks from their manager on the outside to isolate Dustin, eventually nearly putting him out with a sleeper.
But when the sleeper hold didn't get the job done, Dustin was on the comeback trail. A massive shoulder tackle from Dustin took both men down, but it eventually provided enough of an opening to tag in The Dream. Dusty quickly went to work on both members of Phi Delta Slam, scoring with a double Bionic Elbow. Moments later, Dusty and Dustin dropped a pair of elbows to the skull of Bruno and Dusty scored the pinfall victory.
Phi Delta Slam was so incensed they tried to attack Cody, but Dustin was there quickly to make the save and the Rhodes Dynasty ran their opponents off before celebrating the victory together in a Coastal Championship Wrestling ring.
Thanks for taking this walk down memory lane with us. See you next week!
