On July 23rd, our friends and partners at Unbranded Brewing Co. announced on social media that they would be closing their doors on August 31st. While it's taken some time to process this news, we wanted to share our thoughts and update our fans on what's next for CCW in Hialeah.
The following statement was written by CCW Owner, Nelio Cuomo Costa:
"It was love at first sight. When I first laid eyes on a watercolor of industrial grey concrete, metal tanks, and warehouse racks I knew we found a new home. It was an underground fight club. No more gymnasium wood floors, no more bleachers. This was home. Very few people believed in Bash at the Brew at first. The staff had me do the show behind the owner's back. 50-60 people, they told me would be a success. I told them to please rent 150 chairs. Show number 1 was the first of 40+ standing-room-only shows in Hialeah. Unbranded Brewing Co. is a labor of love created by Zach and Lance to brew craft beer for the growing Miami scene, but it was made for wrestling. Bash at the Brew made CCW what it is today. Unbranded was instrumental in making us 'The Last Territory'.
August 3rd is show 43 and August 31st will be show 44. Those shows will be the last two CCW events at Unbranded Brewing Co. The building has been sold and August 31st will be the last night it will operate. I promise, that these last two Bash at the Brew's will be worthy of that building. The building I consider home. The building I will always consider home. Two more for an old friend. Be there for it."
On August 31st, CCW will host Bash At The Brew 44, an event that will mark the end of an era for Coastal Championship Wrestling. 44 incredible shows in Hialeah, but don't worry, we're not done yet. CCW will continue to provide the most electric and entertaining events in South Florida for years to come.
